Friend wants to buy a car - English Conversation

TEENA:   Ronny,  what happened to you?  You didn't come to office yesterday.  I called and your phone was switched off.

RONNY:   Actually my car broke down on the way. 

TEENA:   You could have come late.

RONNY:  You know the nature of boss.  He might have spoilt my day further.

TEENA:  But why didn't you call, and why was your phone switched off.

RONNY:   Actually I was very upset.  It took me three hours to get the car repaired.  I was in no mood to communicate to anybody in the office.  After some time my phone got out of battery.

TEENA:   Your car often breaks down.  Why don't you buy a new one?

RONNY:   Due to urgent family expenses I am short of money. 

TEENA:   It is not difficult.  Buy in installments.  Sell your old car.  Use that money as down payment. 

RONNY:   Can you suggest me a good car?

TEENA:   You can go for Ritz.  It is a wonderful small car - good mileage and good performance.  

RONNY:   I can consider.  But I have to think, as I am going financially tight you know.

TEENA:   Don't think too much, otherwise you will keep spending money on your old car.  It may also be consuming too much patrol. 

RONNY:   Yes it is true.  I think I should buy.

TEENA:  I shall lend you some money if you need.

RONNY:  Oh Teen, you are really a good friend. 

Talking to a Friend who is Feeling Headache

TOM: What’s your problem Kim, you are not talking?

KIM: I am feeling headache.

TOM: You look tired.

KIM: We partied till midnight yesterday, as it was my brother’s birthday. I didn’t have enough sleep.

TOM: I think you should leave now, you need to take rest.

KIM: My head is spinning, I am feeling giddy.

TOM: Will you be able to walk properly.

KIM: I don’t think so. My headache is severe now.

TOM: (Serving water)…Take water, and relax for some time. You may lie down if you want.

KIM: I won’t be able to drive my car. Would you drop me at my home?

TOM: Why not. But we should go to a doctor first.

KIM: I don’t need medicine. It is due to tiredness

TOM: Would you like to take coffee?

KIM: Prepare cardamom tea for me, not coffee.

TOM: I am just preparing.

Getting Google Adsense for Websites

BOB:   I have developed a good website but Google is not opening any adsense account.

MINI:    They want that a site is developed according to their policies.

BOB:    My site is following all of their policies; still their reply is always negative.

MINI:    For how many times have you made a request?

BOB:    Five times.  See my site in the laptop. It has good and informative content.

MINI:    I have already seen as you know I also submit articles in it.  Their employees may be showing a careless attitude.

BOB:    It seems so.  I have seen so many bad sites having Adsense account.  By this way they are damaging their image.

MINI:    You know big companies also make such mistakes which they should not.

BOB:    What should I do?

MINI:    There is only one way.  Keep updating and improving your site further and keep apply for Adsense.  Meanwhile you can publish ads of other companies. 

Two College Students

In this conversation two new college students have an introductory talk and become friends. They are sitting in the library.

Henry: Hello! May I know your name please?

Mukesh: I am Mukesh. And what’s your good name please?

Henry: My name is Henry. I am glad to talk to you. I recently took admission in B.A. English Hons.

Mukesh: I am also a new student. I have taken B.A. Pass. Have you liked this college?

Henry: Definitely. It is a reputed college. I appreciate (admire, praise) it for its strict discipline and good teachers.

Mukesh: I agree. Library of this college is also impressive. It has a lot of useful books.

Henry: Yes, it is true. Where do you live?

Mukesh: I live at Tilak Nagar, and you?

Henry: I live at Timarpur. What are your parents?

Mukesh: My father is an I.A.S. officer in finance ministry, and my mother is a teacher.

Henry: You have well-educated parents.

Mukesh: What about your parents?

Henry: My father is a businessman. He exports ready-made garments. And my mother is a housewife. Though we have two cars yet my parents insist (demand or say firmly) that

I should go to college by bus.

Mukesh: I think travelling by bus is more comfortable. I myself come by bus.

Henry: But I dislike buses. There is rush and they never come on time. State government is not managing the bus service properly.

Mukesh: What are your hobbies?

Henry: I have only one hobby - playing cricket.

Mukesh: I also like cricket. But I play only on Sunday. Are you a batsman or bowler?

Henry: I am a batsman. I was captain of my school cricket team. Though my parents keep criticising me for my cricket craze.

Mukesh: Now it is time to attend the class. We shall meet again after the class.

Henry: Oh sure!

Need of Change and Metro Train

Renu: Do you have change for Rs.500/- note?

Laila: Yes, I have. What do you need it for?

Renu: I need some change for metro train.

Laila: How do you want it?

Renu: Please give me four hundred rupee notes and two fifty rupee notes, if possible.

Laila: Take three hundred rupee notes, three fifty rupee notes, and five ten rupee notes. I hope it will solve your problem.

Renu: Definitely. I am so thankful to you.

Laila: What have I done for you that you are so thankful? I have given you five hundred rupees and you have given me five hundred. I haven’t given you any extra money.

Renu: Still it is a help.

Laila: Why don’t you get a smartcard for metro? You don’t have to buy a ticket everyday.

Renu: Yes, I think I must get one. It will save a lot of time. I won’t have to stand in the queue again and again, and arrange for change.

Laila: I also have a smartcard, though I travel only once or twice a week by metro.
